Aqui means here, the one word that moves when I do, settling onto whatever floor I'm standing on and never once being wrong. It just isn't the same thing as home. The painting is for anyone who has made a home outside of home, which sounds like a contradiction until you're the one living in it.
The innocence is the Fool's, the figure stepping off the edge of his tarot card with his face turned up, which is less a lack of information than a decision, the same one a bedroom asks of anyone: to lie down somewhere and agree to stop keeping watch.
It's my favorite of the set, possibly because there's a lullaby in it. In Portuguese you count carneirinhos to fall asleep, little sheep going over a fence one at a time, and nobody ever asks where they land. The lamb hasn't landed. Most nights I couldn't tell you which of the two chairs is the ghost.
Printed on 200g natural art paper with a matte, uncoated finish and lightly textured surface, that ensures a rich and vibrant display of colors.
